Molendinar Housing Association Statement on Fair Work

In line with the principles of 'Fair Work First' set by the Scottish Government, Molendinar Park Housing Association is committed to upholding fair working practices across all areas in which our Association works.

In order to do this we endorse the following fair work criteria:

  • Ensuring all employees are paid at least the real Living Wage, reflecting our commitment to fair compensation practices.
  • We offer opportunities for effective workers' representation and voice, including recognition of trade unions.
  • Staff have lead the creation of a Staff Charter that is signed and reviewed annually.
  • We have created staff friendly policies including a hybrid working policy, menopause policy, wellbeing policy and policies to support workplace safety such as the unacceptable behaviour policy and lone working policy.
  • We invest in the continuous development of our staff to enhance skills and growth opportunities.
  • We do not have any staff who are employed on a zero hours contract basis and do not practice ‘fire’ and ‘rehire’ practices.
  • We promote diversity and inclusivity within the workplace.
  • We provide flexible and family-friendly working arrangements and hybrid working policy for for all employees from their commencement of employment to create a good work life balance.

We acknowledge that progress in these areas is achieved through collaboration with our employees and any affiliated trade unions they belong to. Molendinar Park Housing Association is committed to creating a workplace that fosters fairness, dignity, and respect for all individuals.
